Once Upon A Story Thyme
This CAN’T MISS event is one of the highlights of our annual PRIDE celebration!! Be there as leaders in the local LGBTQIA+ join Groundswell staff to bring you a curated story time unlike any other!! Guaranteed fun for everyone!!
Gulf Coast Blood Drive
Stop by Market this Sunday and donate blood that contributes to the Galveston Community!
Donate Blood? Get an extra punch on your Besties Card! Gulf coast blood will also be giving away blankets, and giving free A1C tests for donors.

Galveston County Voter Registration
In partnership with Galveston County Voter Registration, you can register to vote right at Galveston’s Own Farmers Market!
It’s as easy as 1-2-3. If you have any questions about voting, Galveston County Voter Registration will be there to answer.
You are eligible to register to vote if:
US citizen
Resident of the county where you apply
At least 18 years old on Election Day
Not convicted of a felony (or completed sentence, probation, and parole)
Not declared mentally incapacitated by a court without voting rights
Asian & Pacific American Heritage Day at GOFM!
Our friends from APAMSA (Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association) at the University of Texas Medical Branch lead us in celebrating Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month!
Join us for origami/paper folding, Chinese lucky knot tying, Vietnamese Bau Cua & various Asian baked goods! The students will also share information about health screenings in the Houston and Galveston areas that provide resources largely to the Asian population—come snack, learn and play with us!
Healthy Texan Week
Celebrate Healthy Texan Week with us at the market! This statewide initiative is all about empowering our community to make small, sustainable lifestyle changes that lead to big health wins.

UTMB School Of Nursing Appreciation Day
Stop by the Market to show your appreciation for the local nursing students who are one of Groundswell’s most loyal group of volunteers!
We'll have a community board set up where you can write a thank-you note to UTMB Nurses and nurses in training. As a special tribute, the first 75 UTMB Nursing School students who flash their ID badge receive a special sticker & the first 20 students of those will receive one free coffee or tea from Corduroy Coffee.

Help us celebrate our Assistant Market Manager, Alec Manning, on his final Market Day this Sunday, April 19th! We’re sending him off with some of his favorite things & invite you to join us:

Look no further, the UTMB fraternity TKY is collecting toys for our community!
These donations will go straight to the Galveston Police Department, where members of the Galveston County community can apply for Blue Santa, and receive toys during this holiday season.
