This duty is super important and one of our biggest needs. Waterers can water on their own schedule & harvest what they like!

If you have to volunteer during school hours, we will need to process a background check in the event you may encounter a student on the premises.

How to Apply

  1. Create a volunteer account by completing an application.. If you have an account already, skip this step.

  2. Complete this Garden Aide/Waterer Inquiry form

  3. We’ll send you the next step instructions on getting your background check and set up to sign up for future shifts!

Opportunities daily at the following garden sites:

  • Moody Early Childhood Center (MECC)

  • Menard Park Victory Garden

  • Burnet Elementary

  • Crenshaw Elementary

Garden Aides are needed at any of the blue map icons.

  • Easy as 1, 2, 3!

    1. Create a volunteer account by completing an application.

    2. Complete this Garden Aide/Waterer Inquiry form

    3. Complete the background check we send after receiving your inquiry.

    4. Once complete, start signing up via the Volunteer Portal!

  • Woohoo! Once you complete an application and passed the background check, we will add the desired school site to your profile. You’ll be able to see the open shifts in the volunteer portal!
