Temporary Protocol for SNAP Patrons (For November )

While the government funding is at a standstill, Groundswell is committed to ensuring our community does not go without fresh food.

We are activating this temporary, emergency protocol for the month of November.

How To Get Your Benefits

  1. Visit the Info Booth at the Market entrance.

  2. Present your Physical SNAP Card (required to confirm eligibility).

  3. Our staff will process your request based on the two options below.

  4. You will receive tickets to use at any participating market vendor.

  5. These tickets NEVER expire and can be used any Market Sunday.

$50 Guaranteed BonusBucks

This is our emergency support to ensure your family can shop for SNAP-eligible items, **even if your SNAP card has a zero balance** due to funding delays.

  • Available for the FIRST 28 families.

  • $50 per family, per week

  • Available to any patron who shows their physical SNAP card.

  • Spend on any participating Market vendor that sells SNAP-eligible items.

$15 FREE FreshBucks with Your SNAP Card

If you have a balance on your SNAP card, you can still withdraw funds and receive the FreshBucks Match.

  • For every $1  you withdraw from your SNAP card, we’ll exchange for 1 ticket.

  • We’ll also match $1 for $1 in FreshBucks for FREE, up to $15.

  • If available, you will also receive the $50 BonusBucks in addition to this match!

  • CRITICAL NOTE: If the SNAP processing machine is not working, we cannot process any SNAP withdrawals. You will still receive the $50 BonusBucks.
