Garden Aide *

Garden Aides help YGP Garden Leaders with the kids in the garden! Garden Aides work directly with children and grow their interest in the garden. Duties vary depending on the lesson plan.

All Garden Aides must go through a background check before signing up.

We have opportunities almost every after-school day!

Monday - Friday

4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

at any of our GISD+YGP Sites

How to Apply

  1. Create a volunteer account by completing an application.

    • If you have an account already, skip this step!

  2. Complete this Garden Aide/Waterer Inquiry form

  3. We’ll send you the next steps on getting your background check and set up to sign up for future shifts!

    3. Complete the background check we send after receiving your inquiry.

    4. Once complete, start signing up via the Volunteer Portal!

  • Woohoo! Once you complete an application and passed the background check, we will add the desired school site to your profile. You’ll be able to see the open shifts in the volunteer portal!

  • For this position, volunteers should be over the age of 16. Minors can accompany a guardian to volunteer together.

    Once you sign up, you’ll receive an email with more information before your start day. Most importantly, we ask you show up ready to be outside and ready to flow!
