Non-Food Artisan Vendor

Artist or craftsperson who produces originally designed unique hand-crafted products and of high-quality, including crafts, artwork, inedible products such as herbal products, personal care, and beauty products.

Artisan Vendors include:

  • Craft Artisan: encompass individuals dedicated to the creation of originally designed, unique, and meticulously handcrafted products. These artisans apply skill and artistry to transform raw materials into distinct, high-quality finished goods

  • Service Providers: encompasses skilled individuals that offer convenient, high-quality professional services that address specific needs or improve efficiency.

Types & Requirements

  • Healthy & Beauty Product

    Any vendor creating products designed for the body (internal or topical use) that incorporate local agricultural components. Products are original in nature and produced by the seller. (beautycare, soap, tinctures, etc.)

    Examples: tea, beauty products, soap

  • Craft Artisan

    Individuals who create and sell originally designed, unique, and high-quality handcrafted products. The resale of items produced by others is not permitted, and the use of pre-made templates or kits is strongly discouraged.

    Examples: Jewelry, clothing, ceramics

  • Service Provider

    Encompasses skilled individuals that offer convenient, high-quality professional services that address specific needs or improve efficiency.

    Examples: Knife sharpening, seamstress, nutritionist

Approved vendors offer products that align with the spirit of GOFM’s mission including sustainability and stewardship of local agriculture. All eligible products must be created by a local artisan located within 150 miles of the market attended.

Approved Craft Artisan and Service-Provider vendors are eligible to vend up to two (2) Sundays per month. The option to vend more might be opened up to the vendor pending discussion with GOFM staff and their first three (3) GOFM appearances. Vendor appearances must adhere to a set schedule, agreed-upon before their first appearance.

At any given market, GOFM will plan for their to be no more than 4 Artisan Craft vendors at market (this number excludes vendors who sell both artisan products + food products, such as a vendor selling honey + beeswax candles.)
